Carly earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Before joining the aesthetic industry, she worked in Neonatal Intensive Care. She began specializing in injectable treatments in 2015, honing her skills to provide precision and care. Joseph Perlman, M.D., P.A.
Dr. Joseph Perlman offers plastic and reconstructive surgery to patients across Texas. He earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his M.D. degree from Brown University. He completed residency in General and Vascular Surgery from Baylor College of Medicine in 1981 and residency in Plastic Surgery from Baylor in 1984. Dr. Perlman also completed fellowships in Microsurgery and Hand Surgery. His practice is now focused on cosmetic surgery, including performing over 600 facelifts in the last 10 years. Dr. Perlman has been one of Houston’s Top Docs numerous times. Dr. Perlman is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) and The American Board of Surgery (ABS).

Menu of services
Neuromodulators
With aging and repeated facial movements, we begin to create fine lines and wrinkles. Neuromodulators are wrinkle-relaxing injections of purified botulinum toxin. When injected into specific muscles, neuromodultors temporarily block nerve signals, preventing these muscles from contracting. This results in a smoother, more relaxed appearance of the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Our Med Spa currently offers Botox® and Dysport®.
Botox® (onabotulinumtoxinA)
Botox® Cosmetic is one of the most well-known neuromodulators. It has been FDA approved for cosmetic use for over 20 years, to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines, crow's feet lines, and forehead lines in adults. Results typically last up to 3 to 4 months.
Dysport® (abobotulinumtoxinA)
Dysport® for injection has been approved in the US for aesthetic use for over 15 years, to temporarily improve the the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar (between the eyebrows) lines in adults. Average time of onset is as little as 2 to 3 days after treatment and may reduce the appearance of lines for up to 5 months.
HA Dermal Fillers
In our 30s, collagen and elastin production start to slow significantly (vital components of youthful skin, helping to keep it lifted, full and resilient). In our 40s, and with weight loss, we may begin to notice more significant hollowing under our eyes, flattening of our cheeks and sagging of the jawline due to loss of support from fat and collagen. In our 50s and beyond, our fat pads and bone start to diminish (noted in the cheeks, jawline, and brow area).
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a sugar naturally produced by the body that retains moisture, with the highest concentrations in our eyes, joints, and skin. Injectable HA is a type of temporary dermal filler, used to reduce the appearance of volume loss in the lips and face, create structure and framework for the face, and help reduce the appearance of facial folds and wrinkles. Our Med Spa currently offers the Juvéderm® collection of HA fillers.
Juvéderm voluma® xc
Used to correct age-related volume loss in the midface, creating lift and contour to the cheeks, and for shaping and augmentation of the chin region, improving the chin profile .
Juvéderm volux® xc
Is indicated for improvement of jawline structure and definition.
juvéderm® Ultra & ultra plus xc
Ultra & Ultra Plus (a more robust gel) are indicated for correction of moderate to severe wrinkles and folds, such as the nasolabial folds (smile or laugh lines-the creases in the skin that extend from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth). Ultra is also used to plump the lips, for up to 1 year.
juvéderm vollure™️ xc
Tailored to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds by adding subtle volume; lasting up to 18 months. Also helps smooth oral commissures (lines at the corners of the mouth, where the upper and lower lips meet) and marionette lines (creases or lines that extend from the corners of your mouth to your chin; "puppet lines").
Juvéderm volbella® xc
A soft, smooth gel used to subtly increase lip fullness and soften the appearance of perioral lines (the vertical wrinkles, also known as "smoker lines", that appear around the mouth and lips as a person ages.
skinvive™️ by Juvéderm®
Is the first and only FDA-approved HA microdroplet injectable in the US to improve skin smoothness of the cheeks. Skinvive™️ increases hydration to provide a refreshed glow for up to 6 months.
Kybella®(Deoxycholic Acid)
Is an FDA approved injectable to treat moderate to severe submental fat in adults; known as the "double chin". Kybella® permanently destroys fat cells for an improved chin profile. The treatment is individually tailored according to the amount of submental fat and the aesthetic goals of the patient. A treatment series is recommended.
Sculptra® (Injectable Poly-L-Lactic Acid)
Is indicated for the correction of shallow to deep nasolabial folds and other facial wrinkles, lines and folds. Sculptra® rebuilds natural facial collagen, to help restore structure and lost facial volume, resulting in a more youthful-looking appearance for up to 2 years. Sculptra® is not intended for injection into the lips or the area around the mouth.
What is the difference in HA filler vs poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA)?
HA fillers correct the symptoms of facial aging, while PLLA addresses the underlying cause: lost collagen.
HA fillers have an immediate result, but are not permanent. Retreatment over time is typically needed to maintain your results.
PLLA provides subtle results over time, and require more than one initial treatment session.
SkinPen® Microneedling

SkinPen® is the first FDA-cleared microneedling device, made in the USA. SkinPen® is used to improve the appearance of acne scars and wrinkles. Typical treatment is as few as 3 treatments, spaced 30 days apart, with improvement in your skin's appearance for 6 months after your last treatment.
SkinPen® is a minimally invasive procedure that creates hundreds to thousands of "micro" skin punctures to stimulate the skin's natural healing process, leading to the production of new collagen and elastin.

Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF)
What is prf?
PRF is an autologous (obtained from you) blood concentrate, that is 100% natural, free of additives and chemicals, and is packed with powerful cells for skin rejuvenation.
how?
A small sample of your blood is drawn, then spun slowly in a centrifuge to separate your blood cells. The top layer is then collected, which is composed of your platelets, white blood cells, and Mesenchymal stem cells. Utilizing these in treatment will result in a constant release of growth factors for 10-12 days, boosting collagen production, reducing signs of aging.
Benefits of prf in aesthetics
PRF can be used to treat hair loss, dark under eye circles, acne scarring, fines lines and wrinkles, deep folds (such as the nasolabial folds), tear troughs, volume loss and symmetry adjustment, and for brown spots (hyperpigmentation). PRF can be injected like a HA filler or used with microneedling. PRF is also an excellent option for those who cannot receive treatment with a HA filler, or prefer a natural alternative.
ezGEL
Want to take it one step further? EZGel is obtained by mixing the growth factors from the liquid PRF and the albumin of plasma. There is a heating process involved with your blood sample, making a more concentrated version of your PRF and a firmer gel-like substance.
